Investigations

In an increasingly litigious world, schools, governors, trusts, LAs, and dioceses are facing far more frequent complaints, grievance, whistleblowing and disciplinary situations. Rarely do any of these stakeholders have the knowledge, skills, experience and time to undertake full investigations. It is also of the upmost importance that these legal reviews are completely independent in order to withstand public and legal scrutiny.
The focus of investigation is to establish the facts and details of cases with clear agreement of code of conduct and terms of reference in order to ensure balance, fairness and integrity. It is essential that investigations are thorough, detailed, accurate and evidence based and carried out in a fair, dignified and timely manner. It is not the role of the investigator to find fault or innocence but to establish the detail objectively.
A final written report is produced and can be shared verbally at hearings.
Mediation services can follow according to need and request. Moving forward is rarely considered and leaves parties in the most challenging circumstances
